This notice sets out, in plain English, what happens to the details you give us when you ask about a fencing quote.
Who we are
Quote My Fence Keighley (quotemyfencekeighley.co.uk) is run by Neil Evans, a sole trader. We help people in and around Keighley get quotes for fencing work.
We’re responsible for the details you send through this website or by phone (in legal terms, we’re the “controller”). Questions? Email hello@quotemyfencekeighley.co.uk or call 07930 966630.
The details we collect
- your name
- your phone number and/or email address
- the postcode of the job
- what you need, roughly how much fencing, and when, plus anything else you tell us about the job
- a good time to contact you, if you give one
- if you ring us: your number, when you called and any voicemail you leave
- the page you sent the form from, and the date and time
Please don’t send sensitive information such as health details. We don’t need it.
How we use them
- to read your request and reply to you
- to pass it to a local fencing contractor so they can quote for the job
- to keep a basic record of requests so we can run and improve the service
Our legal basis is “legitimate interests”: you’ve asked for a quote, and we need your details to get you one. We only share what’s needed to contact you and understand the job.
Who we share them with
- A local fencing contractor, normally one at a time, so they can contact you and quote. Once they have your details, they’re responsible for looking after them (they become a separate controller).
- The firms that run our website, email and phone: Krystal Hosting Ltd (website and email) and iD Mobile (phone). They act only on our instructions.
- Anyone the law requires us to share them with.
We don’t sell your details or use them for marketing.
Do you have to give them?
No, but without a way to contact you and the job’s postcode, we can’t help with a quote.
Where they’re kept
When you send the form, your request is emailed to us and a copy is saved on the website so nothing goes missing. Both are hosted by Krystal Hosting Ltd on servers in London, so they stay in the UK.
Voicemails are held by our phone provider, iD Mobile, which says it sometimes sends information outside the UK (for example to suppliers or other Currys Group companies) with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We don’t send your details outside the UK ourselves.
How long we keep them
12 months from when we last contact you about your request. Then we delete them or remove anything that identifies you. Anonymous totals (such as requests per month) may be kept longer.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your details, correct them, delete them, limit how we use them, or in some cases move them to another organisation. You can also object to our use of them; if you do, we’ll stop unless we have a strong reason to continue, which is unlikely for a quote request. Email hello@quotemyfencekeighley.co.uk.
Complaints
Please tell us first at hello@quotemyfencekeighley.co.uk. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it and tell you the outcome.

None. A person reads every request.
